Stephen King’s Elevation Short Review

I can happily recommend this book.  It’s a good story and it’s not as politically charged as the publishers make it out to be on the dust jacket.  However, there are a couple of instances where the protagonist overreacts to political incorrectness and there’s one juvenile jab at Trump.

In spite of that, it really is a heart-warming story.  The end is a little iffy.  Not King’s best, but definitely one of his better works as of late.

I’ve said before that since around Duma Key, Stephen King’s short fiction has been superior to his novels.  And it’s true here.

Elevation is a novella of about 150 pages.  It’s not a Christmas story, but it does seem to pair well with the holiday season.

A good book that you can read in an evening or two in front of the fire.
